Dear President Obama
My name is Winder J. Polynice. I’m your average teen who grew up in a bad neighborhood in Bradenton, FL., but moved to Sarasota and now attend Booker High. I’d like to discuss with you a few changes for the year 2009 and more years to come. First of all, I would like you to change a big part of everyone’s high school life by exterminating the test we here in Florida call FCAT. Secondly, I came to my own conclusion as to the ways we can earn scholarships. Finally, I have some views on illegal immigration. You want to understand how I came to these opinions? Let me inform you.
Foremost, I would like you to change a big part of everyone’s high school life by exterminating the test we here in Florida call FCAT. You see, the reason why this test should be extinct is that students with outstanding GPA’s are being held back from there full potential. So these students can’t graduate because a test that they probably could of aced on another day instead that student failed it because they just was not on there A game that particular day. So you should consider on exterminating the FCAT.
In addition, I came to my own conclusion as to the ways we can earn scholarships. We can start earning scholarships by the higher our GPA and the tougher the classes we take in high school should result as how hard we work and how smart we are and last the determination we show. Because some students work really hard but cannot go to the college they want to attend for the simple fact that they can’t receive a scholarship. So therefore a scholarship should determine whether you worked hard during high school and how difficult your classes were.
Finally, I’d like to explain my opinion on illegal immigration. For starters coming to United States should not be illegal. United States is supposed to be a free country. It’s also the richest country so, people overseas might want to visit or maybe just live in United States for whatever reason they want to live here. But, seriously there shouldn’t be a such thing called illegal immigration people shouldn’t need a card or something. You should be able to live where ever you want without signing papers or having a green card because you’re a different race.
In conclusion, after discussing all of these changes I would like you to make. Perhaps you would not grant these wishes coming from one humble little voice. But, I’m telling you these changes could make our home we call The United States a much more intelligent society Almost as intelligent as you, and also a different type of culture society to, and I know your going to make some great changes in this world throughout the years So, let’s focus on students education and giving other race a better and educated place to live in.
